Das Nationale ISSN-Zentrum für Deutschland bei der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek hat dem Online-Magazin theinder.net die Internationale Standardnummer für fortlaufende Sammelwerke (ISSN) 3056-5006 zugeteilt.
Die ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) dient dazu, fortlaufende Publikationen wie Zeitschriften, Zeitungen und Online-Magazine weltweit eindeutig zu identifizieren. Sie erleichtert insbesondere Bibliotheken, wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen, Datenbanken und Dokumentationsdiensten die eindeutige Zuordnung und Erfassung einer Publikation. Auch bei bibliografischen Angaben und beim Zitieren von Veröffentlichungen kann die ISSN zur eindeutigen Identifikation des Mediums verwendet werden.
theinder.net erscheint seit dem 1. Juli 2000 und berichtet über Indien, die deutsch-indischen Beziehungen sowie die indische Diaspora in Deutschland. Aus dem ursprünglichen deutsch-indischen Internet- und Community-Projekt entwickelte sich im Laufe der Jahre das heutige Online-Magazin.
Die ISSN wird künftig in den Publikationsangaben von theinder.net geführt.

The German National ISSN Centre at the German National Library has officially assigned the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 3056-5006 to the online publication theinder.net.
The ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) is the internationally recognised identifier for serial and continuing publications, including journals, newspapers and online publications. It provides a unique and standardised means of identifying publications across library catalogues, academic institutions, bibliographic databases and documentation systems worldwide.
The assignment of an ISSN enables theinder.net to be consistently identified and referenced in bibliographic and institutional contexts.
theinder.net has been published continuously since 1 July 2000, with editorial coverage focusing on India, German-Indian relations and the Indian diaspora in Germany. Founded as a German-Indian online information and community platform, it has developed over the past 26 years into an online magazine providing news, analysis, interviews and commentary on India and German-Indian affairs.
The ISSN will henceforth form part of the official publication details of theinder.net.
