Muneeb Ahmed Siddiqui ist Wissenschaftler und Dozent an der Universität Bayreuth. Nach Stationen im Medienbereich und in der politiknahen Forschung in Pakistan wandte er sich der Geschichtswissenschaft zu und absolvierte an der Universität Bayreuth einen Master in Global History. Heute forscht und lehrt er dort unter anderem zur Geschichte Indiens und zu historischen Methoden. Zudem ist er an der Koordination des Masterprogramms Global History beteiligt.

Fascism was not confined to Europe. In colonial India, its ideas were debated, adapted and repurposed by Muslim intellectuals and activists navigating anti-colonial struggle, political uncertainty and questions of identity. Through three striking case studies, this article traces these complex encounters with fascism and Nazi Germany - revealing a history shaped by propaganda, strategic borrowing and the search for political power.
